It's great to hear an original artist in the CCM genre who doesn't sound like everyone else. Hayley Masters knows how to write a catchy worship song, how to craft a melody, and she's got a great, distinctive singing voice that's pleasant and can be both soft and strong. The album features totally pro production; there's healthy dose of sonic beeps and boops while washy drum machines get songs like "Beautiful! Beautiful!" revved up. When that song really kicks in, there's a small gospel choir that accompanies the rocking piano-led ballad. Another nice touch is the unexpected chord changes on the chorus of songs like "Giving it All" and the chorus' vocal shift on "Sanctuary", which is reminiscent of Nicole Atkins' melodic sensibility. The Rhodes and organ-led soul help make "Redeem My Days" another winner; it's nice to hear her top-notch band get to lay back and groove. Little things like these make these singable songs infectious and engaging. As both a songwriter and a band leader, Hayley Masters is clearly a talent to be reckoned with. - CDBaby
